Introduction To Science

Why Is Science Important

Why Is Science Important (Top)

In the definition above Webster dictionary defines science as knowledge. It separates science into branches, natural science, culinary science, etc., they are all one. There is only physical science, nothing more. All the branches of science are just portions of the one truth which is universal reality. What this means is that we are all scientists. The janitor, gardener, accountant, even the cops are scientists. This is true because we are all involved in the process of interpreting and understanding the Earth and it's beasts, be they Human or other. The biggest problem with the modern world is that almost nobody understands this truth. And very few understand how much science is currently known, let alone what that science is.

Let me give it to you straight: Nearly all modern industrial products (foods, medicines, cleaning agents, electronic devices, building materials, decorative crap, etc) are in some way influenced by advanced knowledge in the sciences. Chemistry & Physics are the roots of science.

Get the facts about the planet Earth in the CRC Handbook of Chemistry and Physics. The CRC Handbook is an exhaustive amount of numeric data pertinent to our solar system from the elements, to organic compounds to astronomical facts.

Physics is the most basic science and involves a lot of mathematics. Therefore, physicists are our most important asset, that is if they understand what's going on here (a race of intelligent beasts in the process of evolving to a higher level of cooperation to effect the enhancement and proliferation of Human life).

Chemistry is the science of the elements (Hydrogen, Oxygen) and the molecules (Water, Drinking alcohol = [ethanol]) they form. It is next down the ladder of importance after physics.

The bodies of animals, including Human, are composed of chemicals:

Below are some molecules found in the Human body

HEME - (Main prosthetic group in the Hemoglobin molecule which carries oxygen to the cells of our bodies). In the center you can see the Iron atom, colored orange, which actually binds to the oxygen. Have you ever seen rust? Rust is oxidized iron. Rust has a reddish color. That is the exact same reason why our blood is red because of the oxidized iron atom you see in the heme molecule below.

If you have the MDL Chime molecule viewer (free download, after free registration), you can see this in movable 3D by clicking here and selecting open.

Retinol - (Vitamin A).

In Summary:

Science is everything around you, including you, and the modern world and it's many products would be impossible without the existing advanced knowledge in science. Consequently, every Human being who intends to participate in the economic processes of Human civilization (any and all industrial production) should have a good knowledge of science.

Even the religious cults are aware of this which is why they are trying hard to invent some relationship between themselves and modern scientific knowledge (Christian science, Scientology, he he, etc.) but there is zero relationship between mysticism and universal reality so they are shooting blanks in the dark at best. Actually they are just avaricious PCs looking for ways to maintain the income.

In the future we are all going to be advanced, enthusiastic scientists, not just mediocre, complacent scientists as most of us are today. UCOM is one giant step in that direction.
